I have a 2012 Limited with just over 100K miles and it is making a really loud screeching and a mild popping when backing up and it is especially bad when backing up and turning hard to the left. It also feels like there may be some trans slippage.

I have replaced the drivers side CV Axel, the bearing hub and front breaks but no change.

Any ideas as to what this may be?

Does the 5th gen have a front diff? I don't know the 5th generation at all other then reading specs. I know they are front wheel/ four wheel drive so I'm not sure how the transmission and engine sit and how the drive line is connected. Is it possible it could be your passenger side cv axel or hub? My front left hub was taking its time going bad and I struggled to pinpoint which hub was bad until it was really making some noise. If you noticed all the bad stuff happening when you turned left then I would've assumed it was something on the right side of the vehicle that was going bad. All the stress is out on the other side of the car when turning so you might want to double check your passenger side. Does this only happen in reverse?
