Hi All.
This may help someone....it helped me. It relates to the rectangular driving lights in the front bumper on pre-North Face trucks.

Mine had lost the silvering and one glass was cracked.

I ordered some universal frony fogs/ lamps on Ebay (number is now 161040655053) for £10.99 plus £3.99 postage. It seemed like a cheap option and I prepared myself for the fun of dropping the front bumper to sort out a proper attachment to the existing brackets (more on that later!).

I had a quick look at the old lamps in situ and thought I would remove the glasses and have a good look at the old reflectors. True to form, the old reflectors were so rusty that they fell apart in my hands. The plastic body/ back was in good order though.

I had a good look at the new reflectors and realised they were exactly the same size. It was an easy job to cut the wires to the old bulb holder and splice them onto the new reflector. I was going to install the old glass covers but had a flash of inspiration and realised that the new glasses also fitted the old backs using the old fastenings....a clamp each end arrangement.

This was really easy to do and you get 'new' driving lights for not much money.

The only issue I have is that one of my brackets has rusted through. Does anyone have a good pair (or just passenger (near) side replacement) bracket? If not it is out with the welding gear......allthough there does not seem much good metal to weld to.....did they make these things out of old Coke cans?

Cheers

Neil
