I recently bought a 99 sport, that had been mostly city driven.
The more I drove it the more noise it made, and the bumpier it got.
I expected major front end work.
I did a search on here about driveline growl, someone suggested checking the front tires for uneven wear,. I noticed the passenger side front had more wear on the inside and some cupping of the tread.
I swapped the tires front to rear. I'm a happy guy, the cheapest fix on record.
No more growl and no more bumpy front end.
Thanks to whoever posted this information.

There's a reason the front tires wore unevenly, so your fix wasn't really a fix, but rather a band-aid for the noise. It will come back again as the front tires start to wear.

Check the front end for lose ball joints and bushings, replace as necessary. If all's tight, have the vehicle's alignment checked.

It's going to get lifted, then the alignment. then new rubber.
