I replaced the ball joints and RA bushings just a couple months ago. Now I have some other ping and pops in the front end. The noises seem to be coming from the same area. I'm thinking tie-rod ends. If not, then what else could it be?

Thanks in advance,

Kevin

Maybe the axle pivot bushings?

Ok, so where is the axle pivot bushing located?

Thanks,

if it is when you hit a bump and sounds like someone is under your truck and hitting it with a hammer, and you have twin i beam, its the radius arm bushings, i am replacing mine this weekend because the knocking noise is driving me insane makes my car sound ****ty, o wait you can hardly hear it cause of open headers!!

nevermind sorry just saw the first part of your post and youve already done it, what all had to be done to get the front ones in???

My swaybar makes a popping noise now that I have quick disconnects. With the q.d. the link isn;t as tight to the sway bar itself as it is with a bolt, so maybe your swaybar bushings are worn out.

Hey 94sploder,

I did the grind-off rivet and remove crossmember method. Toughest part is getting the rivets out. Couple of hours total.

In additon to what has been said, if you have 4WD and the auto hubs, the pop or click could be the hubs, especially if you have some miles on them.

Also, it's not uncommon for radius arm bushings to pop a little every now and then, even new ones. The poly bushings seem to do it more often.
