Check the tie rod ends.

Welcome to the forum

is it a constant squeak or only when you go over bumps?

i had sqeeking when i went around corners and i couldnt figure out what it was for the life of me so i just sprayed WD-40 on everything and the sound went away

where did you spray the WD40? everywhere? the squeak will just come back...WD40 is temp

i sprayed it on every bushing i could see i did spray alot on the custom made sway bar end links that i had to replace from the superlift it never made that noise till i installed them so hopefully it will cure the noise for a little bit till i can pinpoint the problem

might check the washers on the end link...if it is not tight enough they will move around and when you hit bumps they make a squeakish sound...which reminds me i still have to fix mine up...:(

If you have add a leafs, they could cause it, I got the cheap autozone kind and im fixing to take them off and do shackles, just cause the squeaking is getting so annoying.

good call i will look into that

so did you figure it out?

i have a groaning under the front of the truck..thought it was ball joints...

turned out it seems to be from UNDER The engine...

could this be a motor mount gone bad? or maybe INNER tie rods...any thoughts?

I have that same groan, seems to happen when it gets warm out, doesn't do it when it's cool. It groans when you turn the steering wheel, you can feel it in the steering. I've checked ball joints, tie rod ends ect. It does seem as if it comes from the center of the front end. Very strange, everything is tight and it drives great. I was thinking it might be the rack, but why would that be outside temp related? Doesn't make the noise all winter long, as soon as summer hits, GROOOOOAN.....

exactly...just started bad too...so I am wondering what would cause this suddenly

altho it has become warm and rainy here recently. if it is the rack, can we lube it?

Im having a similar problem with the steering.
I have narrowed it down to the u-joints. they are making all sorts of noise. If they are not moving freely they will put stress on the other steering and driveline components potentially causing them to wear and squeak.
I would check them to be sure. Im hoping to have them replaced and for teh noises to go away.

i just got under the truck (and bit 8 times by ants doing so) and sprayed all the bolts to the steering rack and the inner bushings to the lower control arms. That seem to have taken care of the groaning and most of the squeaks

I am sure its just all the bushings on the truck going...its got 112k in florida...so...
