03 eddie bauer . put new tires on and the fronts are making a tire noise and i feel a vibration on the floor , when i make right turns at higher speeds the noise goes away mostly the fluid in the front differential i doubt was ever changed as well, i got the BF goodrich factory tires, they where installed by sears and they alligned the front and rear also there isnt any wear on the tires after 3 months theres 155k on it i hope it inst bearings i did check them and there isnt any tire movement maybe a realign at ford may fix that ?

also i have no badging on the doors " explorer " is there supposed to be any badging at all did some come without it ? i have seen a decal with the word eddie bauer did that come on 03`s my color combo is White And Gold

Interesting that this thread came up. The other day, I noticed something similar in mine, though it's so slight the average person probably wouldn't even notice. I'm thinking that it's a front wheel bearing that's starting to go bad. Like you mentioned when you turn to the right it goes away. This tells me that it's probably the right side bearing that's bad. When you're turning right, you're unloading the right side and loading the left. If it gets louder turning the opposite way, then it's almost certain that it's the right front bearing.

These are pretty easy to change, especially if you have a good selection of air tools. A fairly strong impact wrench is almost a necessity to zip off the axle nut...They're torqued to 200 lbs/ft. Changing them is no different than any FWD car. Once you get the brake rotor and caliper off and out of your way, zip off the axle nut, and remove the 3 or 4 bolts holding the bearing to the spindle.

Almost forgot...2003 was the only year that the Explorer didn't have side door badging. They did this as a cost saving measure, but received too many complaints about it, so they resurrected them for 2004 and beyond.

ironically i noticed this about 500 miles after getting a new set of tires put on.

the steering wheel vibrates slightly noticeably at 65mph. the avg driver probably would put it off as normal, but i do not.

my exploder is an '03 with 84k on it. i have 265/70/r17 on it.

Yours sounds like a tire balance problem. A wheel bearing will ususally sound like more of a dull moan or hum rather than causing a shake in the steering wheel. It's possible that you just threw a weight, or the tire shifted on the rim before it was fully seated. I'd have the tire store check the balance on them before you look deeper into it.

i just raised the front end and theres NO movement in either wheel but the passenger wheel turns smoother like a well lubed bearing unlike the drivers side isnt sounds like a dry bearing so im assuming there bearing is starting to fail , since i hear and feel it at 50mph and up , whats the cheapest i can find the bearing assy i have seen it for 150.00 and up sheeze aint cheap huh

what badging did they use in 04 and up ?? on the doors i did see a decal with an eagle and the word eddie bauer i want to either get from ford the explorer or the decal it just looks to plain
