Check the ABS plug to make sure its good & tight on the connection..

2nd the abs plug. Also make sure he put all three bolts back in the dust cover. I took mine off to elimanate my noise

the abs plug seems good and tight but the light is still on and the abs doesn't work.

taking the dust cover off won't cause any problems in the future?

Make sure the ABS sensor braket wasn't bent while taking the hub off making the sensor rub against the tone wheel (The cog like part that reads the wheel speed) for the ABS is. I had a bearing go bad on my Taurus and just the play in the bad bearing ruint the sensor and the tone wheel.
