My family bought this truck back in 04 with 60k(clean as fu.k too.. now at a 111,000 i've replaced the entire rear braking system, and front stablizer bar from when my younger brother decided to jump the thing while off roading, and many other parts, wtf right...) anyhow , I owned a 2003 lancer at the time, loved the truck...

My brother has been driving it and when i make the journy back to indy (from cleveland) to borrow it. something new is always wrong with it. So this april we traded vehicles, why you ask with these gas prices, idk. but i decided since one speaker and the sub is are blow why not fix em. So i go to the store last nite, a pair of speakers for the front and a head unit, and an installer kit thing. no harness and the guy tells me the speakers are interegrated into the amp, i tell him hes wrong and showed him a wiring diagram. from what i could tell only the amp was ran off the amp, the speakers were powered via factory head unit, so i do the hacking, soldering, retrofitting etc on the factory harness, only to find out the front drivers door is not working, now i looked over the wiring diagrams 4 times and all the wires are corret for all speakers etc, the ones on the back are correct too, i installed the speakers by cutting the clip off the factory wires and just directly connecting them, the wires don't touch when it is bolted in also btw, and the new head unit harness is complete, no radio yet (working on a way to make it work, another retrofit im pretty sure using a switch to get power to the antenna and wiring it up or possibly somethin else not sure yet.) the remote wire is the only one not connected and i used the ground from the harness, the pioneer unit i installed makes the stock speakers sound GREAT and the new Infinity Kappa's up front are awesome (well the passenger one anyhow) I've been following the wires up to the head unit and can't seem to find the issue? any clues...

So in a nut shell, to avoid any confusion. All the wires are hooked up right, and the front left speaker does not work. It also did not work before you attempted this upgrade right?

Also...Welcome to the site.

thnx for the welcome. yea that is correct. but problem is fixed, i ended up just running new wires for that speaker and it works now, sounds great too.
