Front Rotors on 93 Sport

Anyone know if just one driver side front rotor would be hard to replace myself or have it done professionally...and if so how much might all of this cost me?

For the good ones from a regular auto parts store, Id say about 60 to 80 bucks. I think I only paid about 120 for both.

Don't wanna bug you but I googled a lil' bit and couldn't come up with a good guide or set of instructions on how to do this...you know of any good sites?

Do you have a haynes manuel? They have good write ups on it. Also this site should have tons of information.

not sure if this is a 911 thing....... get a haynes manual.... im an avid beleiver of the FActory FSM since all the work i have done on my toyota, but thats more than most people will ever need and the haynes manual or chiltons will be fine

Welcome to the site. Front brakes aren't all that hard. Rotors are supposed to be replaced in sets. Like the others have suggested a manual is invaluable for somehting like this. Jim is right, this doesn't belong in the 911 forum. This is for emergencies only, and not when you need an answer fast.

A rotor with bearing races in it goes for about $60. I am doing a brake job thread, and as of today have the disassembly on a first gen Ex all there, with pictures. Tonight I will try and post the rest of the pictures and text to put it back together. The thread should serve as a stand alone guide for this project.

ok I got it done
But yeah, sorry but it seemed like an emergency to me considering it was so bad my calipers were roasted and I could barely stop...i'd say not being able to stop could constitute a real emergency
