Front Wheel Bearing

How can you check the tone rings? Are those not inside the bearings? My problems so far have been fixed and its a wonderful feeling to know it is! Now I don't have to turn up the radio to hide the noise. I feel pretty fortunate that my Explorer is really clean underneath and not all rusted up yet. I bought it in September and it came from out west Colorado I believe and its really clean well till after this winter I am sure!

Ornery did you at least have the code pulled to see what it was exactly?

I reset my warning lights using the Reset button on the dash. Not sure if it would show up as a pending code now, or not. The local Autozone can't pull ABS codes, and the Actron CP9449 BrakeScan I'm looking at only says it will do Explorers up to 2005. I guess I could take it to my new mechanic. He won't gouge me, especially if I can throw some more work his way. But first I'm going to peek at those connections and rings. I believe you can only see the back ones.

Edit: I plugged my cheapie scan tool in and it had no codes.

Yeah I tried my scan tool and I didnt get any codes but my local Autozone had a reader that could thats how I found out what it was! I didnt know you could reset the light on the dash! On my ABS sensor that went bad it looked perfectly fine no corrosion or nicks in the wire it just went bad as electrical things sometimes do!
