hi everybody Just got my 94 (finally!!) and the first thing i notice is that the temp AND the fuel gauge do not work Any hints? Maybe a fuse? ( oh please oh please..) Also is the clutch self adjusting? It seems that the clutch engages rather quickly Is this a good thing?

thanks in advance Peter:exp: :p

My friend's does the same things for the battery. It just sticks at the top and taps it and it works ok. My other friend had the exact same thing happen with his guages like you and he went down to a junk yard and replaced that part of the guage cluser. Apparently there are 3 sections to the guage cluster and he just replaced that one section. I think the dealer wants about $150 for that section. He went to a junk yard and picked it up for $40.

Fill your truck up with gas and drive it for a couple days and see if the gas guage moves or stays at 'E' that'll tell u whether the guage really works or not. Your temp guage could just be a faulty coolant temp sensor.

Sounds to me like you may have lost the 12V going to that section of the dash. Loose wire maybe.
