Hello,

I was trying to replace my fuel filte on my 93 ford explorer and I pulled off one of the hoses from the fuel filter. I pull of the hose going to the engine and didn't think much fuel would be left in it. Out of confusion and just plain not thinking right I put it back on the fuel filter connecting the connector on to the fuel filter with out the use of the little metal adapters that allow you to break it off. So, know I have a fuel line stuck to my fuel filter. I will ruin it if I remove it...so I am wondering where do I got to get a new fuel line or atleast to replace the connecter that I will ruin when I tear it off of my fuel filter??

Thanks

Is there any good fuel filter chaning diaries on this site??

THanks again

OK...it sounds like you pulled the engine-side line, and then because fuel came pouring out, you reconnected the line...is this right? If this is right then all you need to do is disconnect the lines from the engine and from the tank. To do this properly, you need to use a line disconnect tool. If you do a "search" you'll find lots of good info with photos and instructions. I always use a pencil to plug the lines to keep excess fuel from leaking out while the lines are disconnected.
