I have a 2001 sport and I filled the tank yesterday and the auto shut-off didn't work. It overfilled the tank and dumped about a 1/2 gallon b/4 I shut it off. The gauge read way over full, higher than I have ever seen it. It now seems to be stuck at that level with the exception of its usual movement when going down a hill. Then it will go down 1/16 (as it has always done) and then back up past full. It drops down to what I think should be the correct level when the key is off. It kind of seems like a stuck float issue but the fact that gauge does move when going down hill or with the key off seems odd. Any thoughts?
