A year ago, I've replaced the fuel gauge because it always read EMPTY. It worked for 10 months and then the fuel gauge always read FULL. Last month I've replaced the fuel pump/sender, but it still always reads FULL. Took it to a local garage to get it check out. They can't seem to find the problem (good pump/sender, good gauge, no grounds anywhere), and suggusted I bring it to the dealer. Before I do (since they are so expensive), anyone think they might know what's the problem...

Check the wire harness above the drivers rear wheel well. There are 4 wires and a plug on the frame rail. One of the wires, the pink or tan one is probably cut or loose. Does your gas guage fall when you turn the vehicle off and remove the key?

Just fixed mine!!!! Always read full.
First thing I did was pull out the guage and check the voltage at the connectors. Top was a ground, left was 12 volts, and right before it was fixed was two volts. I then pulled the guage panel out took out all guages and bulbs and carfully disconnected the clips. I then followed the trails along the ribbon and checked continuity on each end and found one that was cracked. I carefully sodered a wire around the break and it works.

yes mine does but only falls to 3/4 then when I turn the key on it will drop a tiny bit and then start to climb. If I turn the key of after it drops a tiny bit over and over I can get the guage to read empty, but when I turn the key on and keep it on the guage returns to full. Happened to day while out muddin' btw
