A few months back i lost compression on one cylinder of my '92 Ford Explorer (middle cylinder, driver side). With over 150,000 miles on it I am not interested in repairing it, but I would like to disconnect the fuel supply to that particular cyclinder now that my mileage has drppooed to 12 mpg...any ideas?

just unplug that injector harness to that peticular injector

do you mean the wiring harness?

no the indivual plug to the injector on the cyl that is out

This will screw up the O2 sensor readings and try to make the mixture richer. Short of doing something with the valves, you might want to consider one of those dummy O2 sensors.

and the computer will probably sense the unplugged injector and throw a CEL. Though this may prevent it from thinking there's an O2 problem.

Yeah, time for another engine or truck.
