has anyone had this problem before?i did a search but nothing came up on it.its actually on my brothers F-150 and a figured
it might be a familiar problem with the fords.the fuel pump stays
on all the time,to turn it off you have to get out and
disconnect the battery every time you turn the truck off.
i didnt know if it would be more computer related or more like
something in the steering column????

Has he taken it back to the dealer yet? That would be my first choice, so it can at least be diagnosed. Good luck!

The exact same thing happened to my dads 90 F150. The fuel pump would run for 1 minute after the truck was on and then shut off. It kept getting worse until one day it would not turn off at all. The only way to fix that was to disconnect the power at the battery.

You should check the fuel pump relay, it is probably stuck. It is really cheap and easy to fix. It is under the hood on the inner fender somewhere, I don't remember where.

the relay was the problem, the pickup has 2 gastanks.
didnt know that at first, one of them was bad, replaced
both,problem fixed.
