I would like to know also because i am getting one soon for my other car. Anyone?:D

basically it reads the voltage put out by the cigarette lighter. The faster the rpm, the faster the alternator runs. When you first get the gtech, you must "program" it. Simply you hold the rpm's at 2000 for 10-20 seconds, 4000 for 10-20 secs. It interpolates the rest from there.

The only experience I've had was with the original that isn't made anymore. It wasn't very accurate. Add the fact that a bouncing SUV dosn't help when it needs to be stable to measure right.

i made the mistake a few years back of buying on. Both cars i had at the time were turbo 4cylinders both of wich were very fast. The times from the gtech were very far off from the numbers i put up at the track. Its just a waste of money, not worth it at all.
