I had a wandering fuel gauge needle, replaced the gas cap with a new one from the local parts store, problem solved....
i'd like to salvage that plastic strap that holds the cap to the car. theres a small bolt to the body and then a ring around the old gas cap. it doesnt seem to unscrew... anyway to get this off without breaking it? will it fit on the generic replacement? otherwise i'll have to get used to holding the cap while i fill.
