The gas guage when I got it was kinda working. Sometimes 1/4 tank sometimes 1/2 tank. Fill it up, way past full tank.... Figured the sender was bad. Right? Ordered a new sender....
The NEW (Brandy new from the dealer) fuel guage sender... I installed it, guage did not register nothing.... Checked the sender to ground with the meter, reads just what the book says (I purchased a Ford Ranger/Bronco II Ford Shop Manual book from eBay) The measurements at the sender, like the book says was good....
I am kinda confused: The book says in this case the guage is bad.... BUT, heck man, the guage was at least working somewhat with the old sender... So, what do you guyes think: Still bad guage? Or what?????...
These items listed I will check into, but aside from the listed any suggestions?
Will check the following:
A- Fuse.
B- Connections at cluster.
C- Guage from the junk yard (Yea, could be bad too)
D- broken wire from sender to guage? (How could that be unless it's where I was working?
E- Link fues (if any)
What do you guyes think?. Anybody else have this problem with a old Ranger or bronco?....
Thanks
