gas mileage issue need help

Hello everyone.

This is my first posting and i need help, i have a 2001 ford explorer sport, 4.0l v6 4x4. When i put it on the road spring 2013 i was at 400/tank i admit not too good. Lately it is looking like i am only getting about 200 to a tank. New plugs and filter as of summer 2014, four new tires as of end of summer 2014.

Im just trying to figure out why mh mileage dropped so bad. No gas leakes that i can tell.

Please help with ideas

are you sure you're not in 4whl Auto? I have a all stock 4.0 OHV, auto, 4x4 EB Explorer and I get around 15 mpg, mostly city, average in 2whl drive.

Definatly not in 4whi i ont turn it on about once a week for a couple blocks to get the oil circulating im wondering if i get new plug wires and cap
