Ok, so I decided to put the full lenght 4 door tank back on the truck today (I put the sport tank on when I wen with a BW 4406). I just have to say that I HATE THE FRIKING TANK SUPPORT STRAP!!!!!! Whoever designed that stupid thing needs a good beating. Unless there's some trick that I'm totally missing that is the biggest PITA that I've dealt with in a long time. I honestly don't remember it being that hard the first time, but maybe it was the smaller tank that made it easyer who knows. Ok so no real information just had to ***** [/rant]

what exactly were you having a problem with? I have done mine so many times it is second nature now.

What I find easiest (15 min) from the floor to installed. I put the tank on a jack, with one end of te support strap on start to jack the tank up put the support strap where it should be (a lil forward, to move the tank farther back as it works nicer with the ebw4406) then I remove the rear driveshaft to allow more room to access the bolt that secures the strap with out needing to use a universal joint, hook up the air ratchet and done, install rear driveshaft done, then bolt up newly made front mount to allow fo the rearward placing of the fuel tank

simple right?

For some reason even with the tank jacked up (lifting the truck a little) the strap ends up about an inch short, so I end up having to basically bench press strech the strap until I get a thred to catch. Don't know why, but it's done that to me everytime I've done it lol.

yeah mine used to do that, either you dont have something lined up quite right or on mine I ad to bend the other side down a lil and make sure there is no slack in the strap as it goes around the corners of the tank
