I have a stock 4dr '92 X 4x4. I recently aquired a set of 35x12.5 bfg mud terrains. What size lift would I have to get to fit these bad boys on? I was thinking a 5.5" superlift w/ a 3" body lift. Would that be enough? I plan on doing a little bit of mudding and trail riding but nothing too serious. I would also have to change my gearing, what would be best, a 4.10, 4.56, or something else? This will be a daily driver, so i want to keep the gas guzzling to a minimum but still have plenty of torque. And lastly, will I need to make any more mods other than those?

4.56s are a nice balance of power/performance with 35s. Use the gearing calculators in my sig line to see the various #s.

A 5.5 lift with a 3" body lift will easily clear 35s. In addition to the suspension & body lift you'd need new shocks and longer brake hoses (front/rear). You'd be wise to instal manual locking hubs since they are much stronger than automatics. Autos would be ok for road use, but any moderate+ off-road use could cause the autos to grenade.

thanks for the help, 85280 & 85120 superlift superrides come w/ the lift, are they any good? Do you suggest a different setup?

You could do a 5.5 and just trim the fenders. I have a Superlift 5.5 with 33s, and I believe 35 would hit the front fenders, or you could do fiberglass front fenders. conversion. Use 15x8 wheel with 3.75" BS.

Superlift 5.5 is just fine for light to moderate wheeling. I like the 5.5 on the rear axle because it relocates all the crap (shock mounts) above the axle tubes.

You said use 15x8 w/ 3.75"bs, what's bs?
