Hi, this sounds like a really stupid questions but I have a challenge. It seems the last time our 95 Limited went to be services the mechanics decided to place the EEC Test Connector back on the Fuse box. Before it was flying free. You will note from the image that the front tab was already broken off. By flicking the rear tab I can pull down the large connector. My challenge is I cannot get the single connector to release. So before I break something I thought I would seek your collective wisdom rather than take out my frustrations on the plug and live to regret it.

I have looked at various threads here and watched YouTube videos which show the cover and then show the connectors removed. So I assume I am missing something really easy. In case you are wondering this used to come out just fine before they reattached the cover to the fuse box. So I was wondering if attaching it changed the way the single connect slides out.

For those who didn't get it - here is how

I spent an age looking at this connector cover and then I realized the obvious answer. So in case anyone is coffee or sleep deprived enough to not figure it out here is my solution.

Looking at the top of the EEC Test connector there are two tabs (yelloe arrows) which hold in the main large connector. The big challenge was how to free the connector from this housing. Then I noted the small holes (red arrows) in the housing. Off I went and got my hex key set and found a small enough key to push through these holes. Sure enough, with a little pressure, out popped the connectors. First the large one and then the single one. Now I can connect my code reader again.

No longer  but feeling like an idiot for not getting the solution sooner ;)
