Hello,
I'm an off-roading enthusiast with a 2008 Ford Ranger 4X4 with the 4.0 Liter Engine. I don't know a whole lot about cars. I change my own oil, but beyond that, I'm pretty useless.
The Ranger is stock, I haven't added anything yet, but I want to. What do I need to know about modifying it for extreme off-road conditions? Horsepower, speed, handling, what factors are important in off-roading and off-road racing? What modifications can I make to increase my performance? What are my options as far as brands and why?
I'm eager to learn, and get my hands dirty.
