Gibson Exhausts

I don't know if this is the place to post this? I was wondering If anyone is running a gibson cat-back exhaust on there explorer. I wanted to know how good there are? Could you tell a differnece? I also wanted to know if anyone is making a split rear exhaust for a 98 explorer? Does the Gibson give a good sound? I have not been able to find anyone that makes a set of headers for a 98 either. Is it possible they don't make them? Any information would be appriciated.......Thanks for your help.

I just installed the Gibson cat back system on my 92 Explorer and so far am very happy with it. I like the nice mellow sound and the ease of installation. Not sure if any increase in MPG but did notice a slight increase in get up and go. Hope this helps.

I have the Gibson on mine for a few years now (4+) and have been very pleased with it. Do a search for Gibson and you will get all the discussions on it previously.

How are the interior sound levels with the Gibson? I need something that is close to OEM.

My Gibson is just slightly louder than stock, with a nice growl when you accelerate. What I didn't like about the intallation was there were several pieces,and they didn't have any alignment marks to show how to assemble them. The instructions were kind of vague. It was kind of hard to hold everything together and lined up and tighten the clamps and hangers. When I bought a Pacesetter for my wife's car, it was in two pieces with a flange to join them, so it was pretty foolproof.
