I just took a chance and ordered a Gibson Swept Side high flow cat-back system for my '96 5.0 Explorer. The parts ordered are actually advertised for the '97. Gibson has never installed one on a '96, so they couldn't tell me if it would fit on as intended. Does anybody know if the exhaust systems are the same - '96 and '97, or should I expect to be cutting and welding on this Saturday morning task?
