Girlfriends explorer, need a little help.

Hey guys, my girls explorer is making noise, it is one of the pumps, top right of the engine. I am not sure which pump it is, and i have been trying to find an engine diagram but cannot seem to find one. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Oh, I should probably mention that it is a 1997 4.0L XLT.

what year is the truck? What engine? It says you have a 92 by your screen name but you posted in the 1995-2001 section.

either way go on to autozone's website. They have diagrams. AC compressor?

Yeah, I know that it says i have a '92. That is because I have a '92. My girl has the '97. If you read the title or first post again, it says girlfriend/girl.

Anyway, it is a SOHV.

Yeah, thats what it is, does it usually make a noise? sounds like its pumping, but it seems aweful loud. The fluid is full, so it isn't that.
