Hi gang-
I just got the 30K mile service on my '00 XLT. I was slightly shocked at the bottom line when I picked it up... last week, when I called to schedule the appointment, the guy said it should be around $300. It topped out at $460 today!
Here's what they did-
Oil/filter
Fuel filter
Tranny flush/filter
Coolant flush
Rotate and balance the tires
The usual safety checks, inspections and lubes
I've been going back regularly to this dealership in Northern VA because I've felt good about previous service visits. Although I'm an optimist and trust that they didn't screw me, I'm looking for a little re-assurance. Even if they charged a little more than they should have, I guess it's better than taking it to Wal Mart like that other guy did (previous post today) where baboons could have done better work.
Let me know what you think.
Thanks!
