Good Deal on 98 X XLT?

Found a immaculant 98' Explorer XLT , Black,45k just off lease. Looks like it has new tires and the underbody is like brand new, not typical of midwestern cars. Price is 13,500.

Is is a 4x4 or AWD V8? That's really cheap if it is. If it has the SOHC 6, was the cam tensioner replacement done already? It's an extended warranty item... lots of posts regarding the problem.

do a carfax.com scan on the vin number. get the one you actually pay for...it'll save you from unknown accidents or floods, which is why some cars are priced a lot lower then others. I saw a nice explorer when I was searching for mine and it had 55,000 miles and everything looked brand new......everything exceot the roof. The dealer said it had never been hit or in an accident. My dad figured out who the old owner was and she toild my dad that it had been in an extensive accident where it was t-bones by a pickup and the entire passanger side was smashed in pretty good. no wonder it had new rims, tires, paint, and interior........glad I didn;t buy that car
