I just got my 2004 Explorer and had a rattling in the front like chains over bumps. Plus on the hiway it swayed and moved more than I liked. I got underneath and found the end links completely toast. About half inch play in both of them. the sway bar just moving up and down loosely... I swapped sway bushings and end links today. Holy crap what a difference. No more noise in the front end and it's handling so much better... All for less than $50. And this truck is so easy to work on, didn't even have to jack it up or remove the tires to do it. Nothing compact about it at all like my old toyota corolla...
