I am needing to have a cd player/head unit installed in 'Barney' b4 I go on a long road trip this weekend. Does anyone have any suggestions for the Littleton/Denver/Lakewood area for goodshops? I've talked to SoundTrack and they seem to be knowledgeable. I won't go to Worst Buy or an store like that.

Thanks for the help.

Bob

I've had a bunch of stuff installed by Quality auto sound, but its really location specific. I had a woofer/amp installed in my 98 F-150 at the one on Littleton and Broadway, was extremely dissatisfied with teh work. I was one of the first people there and I was promised it would be done at 2, then 3, then 5, then 7, finally about 9 that night I was able to take it home, and they did a pretty crummy job of hiding the wiring. Ask rpenner54, he had to put up with me the whole time :). But on the other hand, the quality auto sound on Bowles near Wadsworth, by the Bally there, did an awesome job on my Explorer. It was done ahead of schedule, under the specified cost, and they did a teriffic job of hiding all wiring, etc. If you go there ask for Mike the Manager, tell them you know Matt with the big-ass Explorer :). When I brought it there to get an adapter installed after they'd done the first mods (I had my stereo installed before the lift, etc.) they were like "whoa, we thought that big-ass thing was gonna come right through the window!" LOL. Anyways, its a good shop, they sometimes charge for their high quality of labor, but you'd expect that anywhere. I had them install my deck, my amp, and my sub... I handled hte speakers on my own :).

Thanks Matt.

Thanks for the recomendation Matt. I'll give them a call and see what we can set up.

What head unit do you have in Vegas?

I have a Kenwood KRC-X657, its a Kenwood tape deck/cd changer controller. I didn't see hte point in paying $75 extra for one that had a CD in the otherwise exact same unit, when I have a 10-disk cd changer within reach. Have Pioneer 3-way speakers, an Eclipse 3640 amplfier, and an MTX thunderform subwoofer.

hey if you go to that store let me know, maybe we can buy a few things and get a bigger discount... I'm looking at having a better alarm with remote start, etc. installed in mine.

Good Idea!

Thats a good idea Matt, except I'll be buying a unit today cause I'm leaving tomorrow for a road trip to Alamogordo for a long weekend. I'm actually getting some exhaust work done too b4 I go.

I'll let you know how it turns out.
