Howdy,
Im a new member if it wasnt already obvious. I recently bought an 97 XLT 5 speed, first vehicle I bought with my own money and I'm very much enjoying it. It's a bit of a rustbucket, but runs great. Had a few minor issues and still have a few things to fix but it's doing good now. I'm no stranger to the Explorers; we've had one in our family for many years; also a 97 XLT but 4 speed auto. Only bought my own seeing how tough they can actually be; helps I've gotten some experience working on one and I'm also going to school for automotive repair; so I'm up for a good challenge. Thought I'd join the forum to get some advice, maybe even learn a few things too.
