Hello Guys,
I have been searching and searching and i just can't find this exact issue. My wife's explorer (2004 XLT Auto 4X4) starts a grinding noise (Along with slight vibration) when the automatic 4X4 kicks in, I.E. riding over loose pavement, rain, snow, etc... it goes away after a minute or so and besides that issue, the car always sounds fine. what, specifically should i be looking into? TC? Diff? Thank you in advance!
