After some time I finally got my aftermarket radio installed. It is a Phase Linear double din CD/Cassette combo. I know it isn't a Pioneer or Sony but it was a gift so I am thankful for it. Anyway, I installed it myself with the help of a Best Buy harness. I do have the factory speakers in there and I will replace those soon, but I do have a ground problem in my passenger side speakers. I have static in those speakers and I can't figure out where the problem is coming from. I have checked all the connections and factory ground connections and everything looks solid. Any suggestions? Also, when the sound goes up, the radio blinks. Any sugestions? Thanks in advance.

It sounds like you have a bare wire somewhere on those speaker wires. Check them real close

Thanks NRA4ever, but I checked all wires, here is what I have noticed. I only hear the noise when the CD Player is running but not when listening to the radio.

I put an aftermarket head unit in my 97 Ex and had similar problems.. I removed the factory amp and bypassed the wireing for it and all of those problems went away. If you do that tho I recomend running your own wires to the speaker wires or finding a bypass harnes if this applies to your truck.
