Constant bird like chirping around 1500-2500 rpms, goes away immediately when I let off the gas, but comes back with even the lightest throttle.

Ive replaced the idler pulley in the last 2 years, and its not there at idle.

u should post a sound clip of it

Getting a clip of it might be damn near impossible, Ill check though.

Belt is newer, replaced it a year after the tensioner.

Every time I've had a chirp under the hood, the culprit has been the water pump in early stage of failure. You can confirm the source with a stethescope.:us:

+ 1 I'm thinking water pump.

My GF's motorhome has a chirp when you first start it and then it goes away. I'm also thinking water pump but I'm hoping it goes away on its own because I don't know how I'm going to be able to get to the water pump on a Class A motorhome. I can't even see it. They build the body around the chassis and the only way to remove the engine is dropping it down through the frame rails.

same problem with my winter x.. On cold starts or sometimes when im at a stop light..... but theres no leaking from the weep hole yet and its been about 5 yrs now? Does anybody know if i should replace it even if it doesnt leak from the weep hole.

Yup- water pump, idler pulley, or tensioner

Check your U-joints.

If you can repeat the noise with your head under the hood and raising the RPM by hand,,,then I'm wrong. But if the sound only happens when you are driving,,,check the driveline. Specifically if it happens at the same speed all the time,,,not just the same RPM.

If you're driving, as soon as you let off the throttle, you're breaking the torque load on the driveline. With even the slightest touch on the throttle you are loading the torque back up and putting the drivetrain under tension. You might also want to listen to how much of a thunk there is when you change gears. The bigger the thunk or jump when you change gears,,(R to D,,,P to R),,,the bigger the chance it is the driveline
