And from your Facebook photos your daughter has grown up into a pretty young lady (must take after her mother!) and you ......... well, that's another story! LOL ! !

Our kids sure grow up too fast!

Nice lookin bod on her. I like asian chicks also, my wife half japanese.

Happy birthday John's Sport Trac.
Thanks Christopher. It was nice to see you, Maria, and the kids yesterday. And thank goodness I didn't end up sick from the tostada Maria bought. :D

I found some 2003 Big Bend National Park photos. I love the diversity of terrain at that place.

This truck was my first 4x4 truck. And I remember that first weekend out at Big Bend with the Sport Trac and being so worried about getting stuck. This concrete obstacle had me worried back in 2000. But three years later, I was not a newbie anymore and had no more worries. :p:

That should say
" A mans woman & his truck
It's a beautiful thing"

Your truck is much easier to look at with your ex in the photo than your bald gourd! :mattmoon::D:D

happy anniversary! I have an '01 as well, i can only dream about making it as awesome as yours :) looking at all the pics makes me wonder... how many times have you painted the body? lol

ah i love your truck!
Thanks Jen. When's the next Colorado event? I visited with JT last month in Kansas. After talking to him about Black Bear Pass he has me a little bit apprehensive about taking the Sport Trac down it. I'm a weee bit longer in the wheelbase department, plus as she sits, I have super fat rear tires.

Once I get her offroad/road worthy, I might take her out to Arizona for a trip to visit friends and family and maybe do some wheelin. I'll have to drag Rick away from working on his Dodge Dart.

Broke another CV axle. :p:

And this is what happens if you try to drive your truck after breaking a cheapass Chinese CV axle and not having that end part of the CV axle holding the hub/wheelbearing assembly together.

I learned the hard way that you always have to have that end piece of the CV axle in the Hub with the axle nut on it. Luckily no one was hurt and my 35" tire only went flying into some woods. I was lucky to not be in a residential or commercial area when this happened.

i'm not sure, but i'd love to hit up the ouray run this year, but if it's over labor day i'll be back in IA for my 10 yr HS reunion, oh how fun lol!

black bear was pretty cool... guess it is the first "real" offroad trail i cut my teeth on... but it went just fine! but yeah, the ST might be a bit long, but I bet with some crafty driving you would be ok... but man even in my sport i had to make some 1000 point turns it seemed on those switchbacks. but, i also didn't have the plastic in my wheelwell trimmed at the point either, heheh. either way, i won't be hitting that trail up again for awhile, unless it's on a dirtbike :p:

whoops, that's an expensive lesson to learn. I know a lot of guys carry stub shafts to put on if they don't have a good spare cv axle handy.
Yes, I have a few of them now. I keep them handy.
