have high and low, just no front wheel drive?

Hi there, for some reason, my front axel isn't getting power. I can turn the front wheels,and all four wheels spin, so the chain in the TC isn't broken, but if on a hoist, and i put it in 4hi or lo, only the back wheels spin?

could this be the magnetic clutch assembly that's gone?

Do you have the brown wire mod? A certain member on this forum didn't have 4WD.. Turns out the brown wire mod was still turned on. Definately put a test probe on the Torque on Demand Clutch and see if it lights up when you are in 4WD. If not more than likely the TOD clutch has failed.

well....ya see, my VSS has been gone for a while, so it's the same as the brown wire mod, which i liked...i did check for power going to the TOD clutch (which is magnetic right?) and it's getting power, but it seems as if it's bearly catching-giving the front wheels power...so yeah, i'm learning towards the TOD clutch as well...

any idea of cost for such a thing?
