Have you heard of this subwoofer?

One of my roommates and I were talking about our systems this afternoon, and well, his has a few problems, but that is not what I need help with. He has a "Godfather" 12" sub that he just threw in a box and it sounds very bad. Does anyone know anything about these subs, ie, T/S parameters? I have a feeling some of his problems are because it is a no-name sub, but the fact that he has it in a box that is probably not the right size (and not totally sealed!! ) is definitely not helping.

Lots of views and no replies... I couldn't even find any reference to that thing through Google, Deja, or Altavista! I am thinking I might just comandeer his box and sub for a while and figure out some of the T/S parameters myself.

Those are M&M Godfather subs, and were quite badass back in the late 80s/early 90s. I don't think M&M is in the car audio scene anymore (they're primarily a pro/studio brand and have some home products as well). If you can get me a model number I might be able to dig up some specs for you.
