head unit size and speaker sizes??

what are the sizes for the head unit and the speakers for a 97 XLT??

also what do you recommend getting for the speakers??

Factory HU isn't exactly a real double-din unit. But most aftermarket double-din units fit fine with a very little modification or sometimes none. Many people on this board have installed a double-din stereo without problems. Try searching for more info and pictures.
