heated mirrors help

just picked up an 09 explorer eddie bauer version. no owners manual but found one online. it has heated mirrors but i don't know how to turn them on. do they work when the rear defogger button is pressed ? manual doesn't mention how unless i'm missing something.

From the manual on Page 116 (for 2010 Mountaineer):

Heated outside mirrors (if equipped)
Both mirrors are heated automatically to remove ice, mist and fog when the rear window defrost is
activated.
