I have the automatic climate control (is that what it is called? - you dial in the temperature). The system normally ramps the fan speed up and down automaically or you can adjust it manually. Tonight when I started the truck the fan was on high and I couldn't slow it down. I tried the control on the dash as well as on the steering wheel. Pushing OFF didn't help either, it just kept running. The heat and AC still seem to function because I can select a higher or lower temp and it blows warm or cold air as needed.

Wednesday I plan to go camping for ten days so I hope someone might have an idea of what I can do to fix this!

Thanks in advance,
Al

This morning I disconnected the battery for about a half hour to reset the computer on the chance that it might help...
Now it will work at full speed or off. It is as though whatever circuit that controls the fan speed has partially failed. If I crank the fan speed, it runs full speed. If I slow the fan down by one click using the steering wheel control, it will stop. Then I can make it go full speed again by clicking it up one speed. I also found that I can click the down speed button x times and it takes x up pushes before it starts at full speed again. This makes me think that the component that drives the fan has failed.
