Heater Hoses Around PCV Valve

Just fitted new positive crankcase ventilation hose and valve, there is a heater line wrapped around the valve for some inexplicable reason ( from my point of view) . So l have removed the steel or aluminium tube and one heater line and connected remaining line to position above left side above PCV hose connection.

The heater line I removed also had fine cracks from sitting on engine block, however it was not leaking.

My assessment of this original set up is it is some of Fords madness in this design, if anyone knows why they did this please reply.

As an aside, I live in the Philippines and never use the heater.
 






Its specifically to prevent the valve from freezing if moisture gets in there, just like the throttle body.
IT too has coolant lines going through it.

Like I said before, I removed them both for years now with no issues. I let the truck warm up before driving. Once warm, It no freeze.

Thanks for link, seems like me disconnecting hose around PCV valve will have no detrimental result and tidy that area behind valve covers.
