Is it easy to access and change the heater motor in a 94 xlt? I had a mechanic change it out and now it functions intermittently. I can take it back to the mechanic but I have to leave it for a day or so. I'd rather just change it out myself and keep rolling if possible.

Also I wonder if it could be the switch.

When I turn it on the motor doesn't start up. If I leave the switch on and continue to drive it will eventually come on. Sometimes it will turn off again.

Thanks
Bruce

Both are very easy. Under the hood on the passenger side firewall is the blower motor housing. 3 scresw & it comes out. Also next to that is the blower motor resistor. It's a wide plug 2 screws. It's more likely that's the problem.

Wow Jason - you're awesome. I can't believe someone got back to be so quickly. It's hotter than hell here today and no blower for the a/c.

Thanks
Bruce

Roadrunner - I'll check that first.

Thanks
