Hi, I'm just new, so please bear with me.
We have a '97 Explorer XL that has heater issues. Although all facets of the heater seem to work, it sounds like the fan is blowing into a barrel (very noisy, not as much output as I would expect), and the floor area is drafty and cool when it is set to defrost/floor (some heat, but mixed with cold). Also the A/C doesn't seem to put out much cold, and again, very loud fan. I'm thinking recharge for the A/C (new type of coolant?), but what about that hollow fan sound? Any suggestions?
