2001 Explorer Sport trac
Hi all, it is a pleasure tobe here. I also belong to a motorcycle forum and love how a community can get together and healp each other out. Well Unfortunately I am having hear issues. My truck only blows cold air. it is a 2001 SPort trac thermostat has been changed, the little flapper door was checked and works fine, I did touch the hoses one is warm the other cold, does this mean the core has to be replaced? if so, how easy is it to acces on the sport trac? We are suppose to get snow thursday and I commute for work so any help would be greatly appreciate it

just make sure the tstat isnt in backwards...... ive never owned a sport trac but i believe the heater core is sandwiched in the pass side firewall... if you drop the glove box door you might be able to see the plastic casing its in... the heater motor normally u can see under the hood on the pass side... take that out and you should be able to see the core and how to take it out. did you check the smaller radiator hoses that go to the core itself for temp?..try that first

welcome

Fixed

ALright so i got it fixed, I did what that one thread mentioned the heater Valve looks like a little cylinder with two little stems and another piece also attached to it. I changed it and got hot air, the tricky part is that it is very very tight spot, but it was worth the work, with snow in two days i am a happy man

Thank you, sorry for the mix up
