Hello everyone, Just registered after finding this place kinda by accident. I was wondering where would be the proper place to ask a question about a leaking seal on a steering gearbox? This looks like a great Forum, it is set up exactly like a Racing Forum I am already on so it is pretty easy to navigate. I just don't want to post a question in the wrong place.

Welcome to this forum! The under the hood section or the section for the 1st generation Explorer would be a good place to start. What's the name of the racing forum?

Thanks, I found the right place after looking a little and got an answer. The other forum I am on that is set up exactly like this is www.4m.net . It is a forum for all different kinds of auto dirt track racing. Glad to have found this, my Explorer now has 220,000 miles on it and runs great. I bought it cheap when gas first went through the roof almost 2 years ago and everything but the steering wheel had been replaced when I bought it. It came with over $4000 worth of recent receipts. Lady that had it was emotionally attached to it and replaced the engine, tranny, had the entire front end rebuilt top to bottom and so many other things. The body is a little rough but it runs and drives great witht he exception of the steering gearbox leaking a little.

Well mine not that bad but the community I live in gripes and sends out a nastygram letter if you have a vehicle leaking fluid. It hasn't leaked in 2 days since I put the Lucas stop leak in but give it a few more days,
