So, I’m finally posting a message online and it isn’t a personal ad 
Anyway I’m glad I am here. I have a 99 Ford Explorer XLT and I love it. Bought it from Car Sense back in early 2002. Never really had problems with it, perhaps a new battery, change the oil often and it is running well at 127K. Figure to keep it for a long time.
My issues to be quick - just need link.
Driver’s side door- doesn’t unlock from outside handle. Have to punch in the code and unlock the truck, then enter thru back door for, what I call, "the reach-around" it really sucks having to do it every day. Funny though it unlocks if the door is already unlocked.
Also compass /temp gauge went out about 3 years ago... is there a specific fuse or is it just shot?
Other than that, I do have come cosmetic changes I want to do (antennae, road paint removal, cig burns in passenger seat (effin ex gf passed out while smoking a cig in the seat-it was the straw that broke the camel’s back! ) which I will find eventually. Just want to keep it as original and functional as possible.
