Hello everyone! I just traded for a 2001 Explorer Sport. 4.0 SOHC, automatic, most of the goodies, but some bumps and bruises. It has 145,500 miles on it. The only thing I know is wrong with it is the dreaded timing chain tensioner problem. The chain seems to be making a decent racket against the front cover. I'm fairly mechanically inclined, even though this is my first Ford of any kind in many years, so I figured, especially given I traded a 1995 Toyota Camry with 215,000 miles on it and I only had $800 in, what the hey, I would take a chance. It looks like this is a good forum so hopefully you can help me and I can help you. Glad to be here and work comes early so goodbye for now!!
