- 96' Explorer Eddie Bauer
Hi guys! I'm richie from Johnson city, tn. I served as an airborne infantry team leader at ft Bragg,nc. Made it to to sergeant and decided to get out and pursue school. I'm now in my way to getting my associates in automotive technology and body work. I have a 96 Eddie Bauer explore with the premium JBL sound system. I'm not exactly sure to how to navigate this site just yet so maybe in your response u can let me know if I'm asking questions in the wrong place. My issue is I have put in a new sound system. 2 kicker competition 15s and a 2200 watt amp and a in dash DVD/cd player. Once I got everything hooked back up my power windows would not work at all and the door lock button on drivers side will not work. I don't think I touched any bare wires together during my install, however I did not use a aftermarket harness. I ran completely new wires to make sure I was getting enough power instead of using the skimpy factory wires. I've checked fuses,I've taken the cluster off and inspected it and nothing seems to be out of order. Any help, advice or direction or more information requested in order to diagnose the problem would be greatly appreciated. Thanks all and ole you guys enjoy the weekend
