Hello guys I hope your doing fine, I from Costa Rica, I am new in this forum.
I would like to ask some questions about my ford explorer 95, 4x4, last week I had some issues starting my car
The mechanic found that the starter was damaged but the worst part was when he found that the part in which the starter fits was broken the part that is inside of the automatic transmission.
The mechanic replaced the gear with a new one and the starter yesterday.
Today we try to start the car it did the first time but in the second try the issue appears again sounds like a starter problem but is not possible.
Please note that the starter and the gear inside the transmissions are new.
Do you thing the problem could be the transmission itself?
The automatic transmission oil pump maybe?

Thanks for your help guys!!!! :exp:

No it was not replaced!!!

You think that is the problem?

It might be the problem if the flexplate is wobbling or is slightly out of alignment. The OEM spacers are made out of powdered iron. Sonnax makes an improved version out of billet steel. I've renamed, and moved your thread to the stock 95-01 section.

So there is no way that the automatic transmission itself is damaged in any way or something like that right?

starter and flexplate already replaced, same situation!!!

the car start good the first time, second time sound like starter problem but as I told you before the starter is new.

Ok so I will repace the spacer, I will let you know.
Thanks a lot for your help!!!! :salute:

Regards

there any way to get it online? do you know the web address?

Thanks!!!
